We are Sean & Abby Magnusen; both in our early 30's we were married July of 2005. We have a son Collin who's 3 1/2, a daughter Ellie who's almost 2, and we live in Westfield, IN with our 3 dogs; Lola, Lucy, and Link.
Abby's family has bred dogs for years; mostly Golden Retrievers, but also Boxers, Corgi's, Golden-Doodle's and a couple others. Abby's Boxer, Brinker, was originally a stud dog for a female boxer that Abby's mom owned, then in 2004, while living in North Carolina, we saw a newspaper add for a 3/4 English Bulldog 1/4 Boxer mix puppy. We thought it sounded really cool so we went to take a look and ended up going back later that night to get Lola.
We decided to start breeding Lola at about 15 months and she and Brinker had their first litter on April 27, 2005. The Boxer/English Bulldog mix was a huge hit and they were a ton of fun, so we decided to keep one of the female puppies, which is Lucy. We then decided that we'd like to mix them with a little more Bulldog and needed a new stud for Lucy anyhow, so that's how we ended up with Frank. Now, six years later, we have our last litter; Lucy is fixed and Lola is going to be too old to have another litter of puppies. It's been a ton of fun breeding and the puppies have been a huge hit!
